Saturday Workshop!

As if the Kickball challenge weren't terrifying enough:

I alerted the designers of a little twist yesterday...

By now I'm sure you are all almost done with the designs that represent your fictitious kickball team. But wait! How will your fans know you? Grab your scraps and make a flag for your team to fly high above the dug out so all the fans know who to cheer for (this is important as there is sometimes [lots of] alcohol involved in spectating).

This is our first sportswear challenge on Project Selvedge and it won’t be easy-especially considering you have to get all your supplies at Secret Seconds, on a $25 budget. Le Kickball is the newest scene in fashionable recreation here under the Big Sky. Each designer needs to invent a team (and name it, that’s important). And design an outfit that can be kicked, slid and pitched in.

THE BEER COOZIE!
Keep your beer cold and your hand warm with a beer coozie! Now you don't have to use the classic foam ones, you can class it up with a homemade fabric coozie! COOL! Join us Saturday morning (march 13th) at 11am at Selvedge!

Have we bragged recently about our buddy and famous fabric designer Sandi Henderson? Well, she's here and not only is she a guest judge for Project Selvedge (something tells me she's going to be the "nice one"), but she is going to personally show you how to make her newest skirt pattern. That is if you get signed up in time...keep an eye on the class calendar for the date!

The time is finally here! Are you as excited as me? Are you as nervous as the designers? Are you confused about what Project Selvedge is?

Here's the deal:
Every year we get inspired for spring by collecting a group of Missoula's aspiring amateur fashion designers (a la Project Runway, except with real people, real budgets, and less drama). Each week we give them a new challenge. They have 1 week to sew their designs and on Friday evenings we have a fashion show and judging.

We don't want you to miss any of the dates!:
All shows are at Selvedge (509 S Higgins) and start at 7p

Challenge 4 Fashion Show: April 2

KNIT HEADBANDS!
Come into Selvedge (509 s. higgins) this Saturday February 27th at 11am for our FREE workshop! All that you have to purchase are your embellishments (buttons, appliques etc.) which are optional AND you are welcome to bring your own! Using our beautiful knits, make a cute daytime headband or a simple one for yoga and pilates classes! They are functional, cute and a great way to hide a bad hair day! See you this weekend! This Saturday the 20th of February at 11am come to Selvedge for our Saturday morning workshop! It's free and fun! We are making sachets! These little pouches are super adorable and smell amazing.
