BASIC BAG 11/15

This is THE "it" bag for every season.  Use it in fall for all your books, winter for any extra ski gear, in the springtime for picnic goodies, and summer for your beach towel and books.  Anything your little heart desires to put inside! Well!  The sewing bug has bitten.  It has been a busy day here at Selvedge!  Here is what the masses are sewing:

baby quilts, baby quilts, baby quilts, aprons, bags, pillow cases, coasters, quilted place mats, and scarves - phew!!  Don't tell them I told you, if you happen to get a gift of this sort for the holidays - hee hee.

I made this for a friend's first birthday.  It is a cute (and cheap) outfit from Pass It On, a second hand kid's shop around the corner. Lovingly embellished with scraps of fabric and my handy dandy free motion foot.  Hopefully her mom doesn't see this post before I drop it off :) (The tights are from Blackbird)

Join us THIS SUNDAY September 12th for the annual HIP STRIP BLOCK PARTY!  There will be LIVE MUSIC, YUMMY FOOD, KETTLEHOUSE BEER, BIG DIPPER ICE CREAM, and (drumroll please)...a FAB FASHION SHOW!! Come down to 3rd and Higgins for a Hip Strip good time.  Starts at 2pm and goes til 9pm. Block Pary Fashion Show

 Fashion Show Contest!

The Hip Strip Block Party is coming up September 12th!  We always have such a goooood time.  It is a great neighborhood party benefiting the Missoula Food Bank.  We have a fabulous Fashion Show and this year we want to feature YOU, our talented customers!  This year's theme is WoMensWear. We are looking for 5 designers to showcase their looks for fall in the show.

Here are the challenge rules:
*You and your model should be available Sept 12th at 6pm
*Fashions should be a Fall 2010 look, inspired by Menswear ....be creative, not literal!
*Fabric should come from Selvedge Studio
*Designers will supply their own models
*Send us a photo by September 6th to leah@selvedgestudio.com
